| Description: | The Water Fitness Instructor provides cardiovascular fitness and muscular-skeleton development and opportunities for social interaction and fellowship. The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leads class in the total body fitness workout in either deep or shallow water, maintains a safe environment for class, reports incidents to lifeguard or higher authority, implements the five basic concepts of Character Development throughout class, helps ensures evaluations are completed at the end of each session, attends all mandatory staff meetings and trainings. |

Hours/Days: M/W/F/Sat 8:00 am-2:00 pm
Status: Part-time; Non-Exempt
Starting Salary: Minimum $7.00
(Starting salary will be based on experience and the individual branch’s budget)
Reports to: Aquatic Director

| Qualifications: | •High school diploma. One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Must have current Lifeguarding/YASA certification or obtain within 90 days of start date.
•Must have current CPR/PR/AED/O2 certifications or obtain within 90 days of start date.
•Must have current YMCA Water Fitness Instructor certification or obtain within 90 days of start date.
